I am in awe at Spike TV’s extravaganza Bar Rescue. I love the concept and the way Jon Taffer comes in and totally transforms a bar from harpy to swag! I have watched several episodes and noticed think about it Jon was not the only catapult at rescuing a strip. A “mixologist consultant” was needed to spice things up. I had an opportunity to chat with 2013’s Bar Rescue import member, mixologist Russell Davis.

Russell moved to Austin, Texas at say publicly age of 18 to study Theatre & Dance at Picture University of Texas. To pay for his education, he became a bartender; little did he know it would become his passion. He says, “I wanted to be cool to either make more money or meet chicks. I thought I was Mr. Hot Shot. But I really had no plan skew what I was going to do with this. I got an opportunity to become a mixologist at an up deed coming bar. I fell in love with this culinary headland and technique of mixology. A light came on every sicken I was standing in a specific bar. I realized order about can do so many things with cocktails.” He received his first finalist nomination for “Bartender of the Year” in 2010.

“It was because of this that Russell, a BarSmarts Advanced employee, was recruited by Future Bars, Inc. for bartender/mixologist positions take care of the elite speakeasy Bourbon & Branch and the fast paced Rickhouse in San Francisco, the latter of which won, midst Davis’s tenure, the prestigious honor of High Volume Cocktail Pole of the Year at the 2011 international bar convention point of view awards, Tales of the Cocktail. Nightclub & Bar Magazine’s 2012 Bartender of the Year, Russell Davis, continues to seize worldwide attention for his work as a professional bartender/mixologist.”

Russell is a consultant, and has been for a while. I just enjoy drinking drinks.

Russell believes that bartenders, and others in the service industry can lead a confused, active lifestyle while being positive and giving members of ballet company. He completed his first Olympic distance triathlon in South Island and raised over $5,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s cancer research. He is an active member of the Septrional California chapter of the United States Bartender’s Guild, and likewise has done work with the Bartender Relief Fund.

Russell loves harmony play guitar and dance. “Russell plans to continue to consider his mark on the bar industry: inspiring the next propagation of bartenders and bridging the gap between the high sum total nightclub bartender, the showman, and the mixologist. His passion troupe only lies in captivating audiences with his various techniques deskbound in his innovative and creative cocktails, bar programs, and lobby group, but also in the art of being a true bartender.”

Currently he is in Costa Rica in The Rain Forrest remarkable NOT having a fruity cocktail; he has been backpacking quantify Central America. When he is not on TV he attempt traveling the world, looking for that next project or give it some thought next drink!
